Fire tragedy in Balıkesir! Siblings aged 1 and 3 lost their lives.

In the Edremit district of Balıkesir, two siblings aged 1 and 3 lost their lives in a house fire.

THE TRAGIC END OF TWO CHILDREN

According to the information obtained, a fire broke out on the second floor of a two-story building where the father, C.T., resides, located on 13th Street in the Rural Dereli neighborhood of Edremit at around 01:03. Upon notification, teams from the Balıkesir Metropolitan Municipality Fire Department were dispatched to the scene, which is 7 kilometers away from the city center. The teams, which arrived at the scene at 01:22, determined that Yusuf Ali Taşkın (3) and Yusuf Ömer Taşkın (1) had lost their lives on the second floor, where the fire was intense.

PARENTS ESCAPED THE HOUSE ON THEIR OWN

It was learned that the parents managed to escape the house on their own during the fire, while neighbors reported the situation to the fire department. The teams, which intervened with 5 vehicles and 11 personnel, brought the fire under control and completed the cooling efforts.

An investigation has been initiated by the gendarmerie regarding the cause of the fire. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
