Minister of Agriculture and Forestry İbrahim Yumaklı announced the latest situation regarding the fires, saying, "The fire in Muğla/Fethiye has been completely brought under control, and the fires in Balıkesir/Gömeç, Antalya/Alanya, and Mersin/Gülnar-Aydıncık have been largely brought under control. Efforts to combat the flames continue in Aydın Çine."
Minister of Agriculture and Forestry İbrahim Yumaklı shared the latest situation regarding ongoing forest fires in different regions of Turkey. Stating that the fire in Muğla Fethiye was completely brought under control, Yumaklı announced that the fires in three regions were largely brought under control.
"OUR DEFENSE OF THE GREEN HOMELAND CONTINUES UNINTERRUPTEDLY"
Minister of Agriculture and Forestry İbrahim Yumaklı, in a statement made on his social media account, shared updated information with the public regarding the effective fight against forest fires. Minister Yumaklı, using the phrase "Our defense of the green homeland continues uninterruptedly," drew attention to the dedicated efforts of the teams working in the field.
DANGER PASSED IN FETHİYE, CONTROL LARGELY ACHIEVED IN 3 REGIONS
According to the information shared by Minister Yumaklı, positive developments were recorded as a result of aerial and ground interventions to the fires at various points. The latest situation in the fire regions is as follows:
- Muğla / Fethiye: The fire has been completely brought under control.
- Balıkesir / Gömeç: The fire is largely under control.
- Antalya / Alanya: The fire is largely under control.
- Mersin / Gülnar-Aydıncık: The fire is largely under control.
INTERVENTION CONTINUES IN AYDIN ÇİNE
On the other hand, it was stated that the intervention in the ongoing fire in the Çine district of Aydın continues uninterruptedly. Minister Yumaklı emphasized that the teams would continue their work from the air and on the ground until the fire in this region was completely brought under control.
The fire continues to be intervened from the air with 9 helicopters, 3 airplanes, and from the ground with 42 water tenders, 9 water tankers, 4 dozers, and 315 personnel.
MINISTER KURUM ANNOUNCED THE DAMAGE CAUSED BY THE FIRES
Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change Murat Kurum announced the damage caused by the forest fires in Antalya Kumluca, Muğla Seydikemer, and Balıkesir Gömeç. Sharing a post on his social media account, Minister Kurum said, "Get well soon to all our citizens affected by the fires. In the places where the fires have been brought under control, our teams have started our damage assessment studies. Currently, 65 independent units in Antalya, Muğla and Balıkesir have been heavily damaged or destroyed due to the fires. Let our nation not be saddened, our state is always by your side."
According to the data shared by Minister Kurum, a total of 65 independent units were heavily damaged or destroyed, including 20 in Kumluca, 39 in Seydikemer, and 6 in Gömeç.
