AK Party Secretary General and Izmir Deputy Eyyüp Kadir İnan made his first assessment regarding the resignation of Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Cemil Tugay from CHP. Describing the resignation as an "admission of the collapse of CHP municipalism," İnan stated, "It cannot be expected that someone who brought no benefit to this city while wearing the party badge will be a remedy as an independent. Izmir is not without ownership. AK Party cadres are here!"
While the resignation of Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Cemil Tugay, who announced that he would resign from CHP and continue his duty independently, remains on the political agenda, the first comment on the resignation came from AK Party General Secretary and Izmir Deputy Eyyüp Kadir İnan.
"IT IS A CONFESSION OF THE COLLAPSE OF CHP MUNICIPALISM"
İnan evaluated Tugay's resignation from his party as a remarkable development for Izmir. Using harsh expressions in his statement, İnan said, "The resignation of the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor from his party is a confession of the collapse of CHP municipalism for Izmir."
"IZMIR IS NOT WITHOUT A PROTECTOR"
Arguing that Cemil Tugay cannot produce solutions for Izmir even as an independent, İnan stated that the issue is not merely a personal problem. İnan expressed that this picture is the result of 25 years of CHP administration mentality.
"WE WILL END THIS PERIOD AT THE FIRST ELECTION"
Emphasizing that they will continue to work for Izmir, İnan said, "Izmir is not without a protector. We are in Izmir, there are AK Party cadres who consider it an honor to serve the nation."
İnan stated that AK Party cadres have sincerely worked for Izmir until today and said, "We will end this period of service and visionlessness at the first election, we will end it together with the people of Izmir."
