Living in Istanbul, 12-year-old Zeynep Reyyan Gören is drawing attention with her painting talent. Having shown interest in drawing from a young age, Reyyan is now experiencing the pride of both opening her first personal exhibition and being invited to the "Golden Human" award ceremony.
SHOWING 5 OF HER WORKS
Since the age of 5, Zeynep Reyyan has been drawing countless pictures in notebooks, and she brought this passion to the exhibition environment thanks to a friend of her mother. "A friend of my mother said she would open an exhibition. I wanted to exhibit my own paintings. I am very happy. I was a bit excited and a bit stressed there, but it still went well," said Reyyan, who is currently exhibiting a total of five works.
"I FOCUSED ON DRAWINGS DURING THE PANDEMIC"
The young painter shared the details of her artistic journey by saying, "I started painting with a computer and tablet. I focused on drawings during the pandemic. Then, when my friends and teachers told me that I used colors well, I started drawing on my canvases."
"I AM PROUD"
The young artist's biggest supporter is her mother, Sümeyra Teymur. Expressing her pride in her daughter's success at the exhibition, mother Teymur said, "I want her to do whatever she is interested in. I wish for her to pursue what makes her happy. She has produced very beautiful works. May God open her path."
The mother explained that her daughter's interest in painting began during the pandemic, saying, "She was drawing with a tablet. When her teachers and friends noticed her talent, she became more enthusiastic. After getting acquainted with the canvas, she produced completely different works."
