FOUND HANGING IN A TREE NEXT TO HER HOUSE
The incident occurred on May 11 in the Aşıklı neighborhood of the district. According to the information obtained, Arzu Ay was found hanging from a tree next to her house. Upon notification from the locals, health and gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the scene. It was determined during the checks that the young woman had lost her life. After the autopsy procedures, Arzu Ay was buried in the İlküvez neighborhood on May 13.
YOUNG WOMAN'S HUSBAND ARRESTED
As part of the investigation initiated by the Ünye Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, detailed examinations conducted by gendarmerie teams at the house and the scene led to the detention of Arzu Ay's husband C.A. and her mother-in-law K.A. In the work carried out by the Çaybaşı District Gendarmerie Command, it was revealed that C.A. had "physically and psychologically abused and tortured" his wife. Additionally, it was alleged that mother-in-law K.A. also mistreated her daughter-in-law. After the procedures, C.A. was referred to the courthouse and was arrested by the court on charges of "torture against a spouse" and sent to prison. Mother-in-law K.A. was released under judicial control conditions.
