Alihan Kuris, the leader of the Suleymancilar group, was the subject of an organized crime investigation, and his brother Hilmi Tuna Kuris, who was reported to have 200 kilos of gold found at his home, along with another fugitive, Erhan Yilmaz, were caught trying to flee abroad from Marmaris. After the operation, it was revealed that the VIP vehicle with flashing lights used in the escape was assigned to former Interior Minister Idris Naim Sahin.
REMINDED OF THE FEBRUARY 7 MIT CRISIS
Following the developments, former AK Party Deputy Samil Tayyar, who made a statement on his social media account, reminded that Idris Naim Sahin was the Interior Minister during the February 7 MIT crisis period, when FETO attempted to detain Hakan Fidan. Tayyar stated that President Erdogan was furious at that time, saying, "On February 16, I was at his home in Kisikli, the pain from his surgery was still ongoing. He was saying, 'The real target is me, let them come and take me, I'd like to see it.' The fight against FETO truly began on February 7. He told me he gave Minister Sahin orders to purge all FETO members in the police. It was clear that this struggle could not be waged with Sahin, and indeed, he dismissed him on January 24, 2013."

Tayyar, arguing that time had shown how accurate the decision to dismiss Idris Naim Sahin was, continued his post with the following words: "While I was a deputy, writing and speaking about the accuracy of that purge, some within the party were angered. The passage of time has confirmed we were right. We have seen that Idris Naim Sahin is on our agenda with a new scandal.

It was revealed that the vehicle with license plate 34 SL 313, used by Hilmi Tuna Kuris and Erhan Yilmaz, who were caught while fleeing abroad, was 'assigned' to Sahin. This assignment covers its use as a 'protection vehicle' until 2030 because Sahin served as the Interior Minister. And it has flashing lights. The vehicle is registered in the name of San Sistem Lojistik, but its assignment as a 'protection vehicle' in Sahin's name is made on December 17, 2025, for a period of 5 years. Suspects Kuris and Yilmaz departed from Istanbul to Marmaris on August 14 in the former interior minister's protection vehicle with flashing lights. It is a complete scandal.
