In the Greek Cypriot Administration of Southern Cyprus, seven masked individuals raided the home of a 24-year-old Syrian youth and demanded 5,000 euros. The attackers threatened the youth with a knife and beat him, then kidnapped the victim by putting him in the trunk of a car and beat him again at different locations. The most surprising detail of the incident occurred when they released the youth. One of the attackers gave the victim 20 euros so he could return home by taxi.

The details that emerged in the kidnapping incident in South Cyprus caused astonishment. The young Syrian who was forcibly abducted from his home was released after hours of terrifying moments. The attackers' final move became the most striking detail of the incident.

7 MASKED ATTACKERS RAIDED HIS HOME AT MIDNIGHT

The incident occurred on October 18 around 01:00 in the Lakatamia region of the Greek Cypriot Administration of Southern Cyprus. According to information in the Greek Cypriot press, 7 people who hid their faces with masks forcibly entered the house where the 24-year-old young Syrian lived. The suspects demanded 5,000 euros from the young man. Unable to get the money they wanted, the attackers began to beat the victim. The young man was also threatened with a knife.

THEY STOLE THE MONEY IN THE HOUSE AND HIS WIFE'S BAG

The attackers also took the 200 euros in the house and the bag belonging to the victim's wife. However, the suspects were not satisfied with this. The attackers forcibly took the young man out of the house and put him in the trunk of the car waiting for him. The kidnapped young man was taken to different areas in the trunk. The suspects beat the victim again at the locations they took him to.

THEY RECORDED THE MOMENTS THEY BEAT HIM WITH A PHONE

Another striking detail of the incident was that the attackers recorded the violence they inflicted. The suspects filmed the moments they beat the young man with their mobile phones. It was stated that the victim was taken to more than one location during the kidnapping. After the attack, the suspects released the young man and left the scene.

FIRST THEY KIDNAPPED HIM IN THE TRUNK, THEN GAVE HIM 20 EUROS FOR A TAXI

The most surprising part of what happened emerged when the victim was released. One of the attackers who kidnapped and beat the young man from his home gave him 20 euros so he could take a taxi and return home. The fact that they gave taxi fare to the young man from whom they had demanded 5,000 euros hours earlier, after the violence they subjected him to, was recorded as a notable detail of the incident.

ONE SUSPECT CAUGHT, OTHERS BEING SOUGHT

Upon the incident being reported to the police, the Greek Cypriot police of Southern Cyprus launched a large-scale investigation. Within the scope of the work carried out, a suspect of Moroccan origin was caught and brought before the court. The court issued an 8-day detention order for the suspect.
