Recently, in response to the issues related to food safety, food inspections have been increased. Schools have also been included in these inspections, which are conducted to protect consumer health. Minister of Agriculture and Forestry İbrahim Yumaklı stated, "We are starting inspections in schools, canteens, and cafeterias."

Following the announcement by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry regarding companies that engage in food fraud, inspections will now also include school canteens. Canteens, which are frequented by millions of students, will be inspected one by one.

Minister of Agriculture and Forestry İbrahim Yumaklı announced the development. Stating that food inspections will continue, Yumaklı said, "We are starting inspections in schools, canteens, and cafeterias."

In food inspections, it will be checked whether the products are produced under hygienic conditions, whether the expiration dates have passed, and whether the food items contain any harmful substances.
