Turan receives 1 year, 6 month suspended sentence.

Criminal Court number 13 in Barcelona sentenced former Barcelona player Arda Turan for tax evasion of the Spanish Revenue in 2015 and 2016, to one year in prison and six months for each offense.

The court also ruled that Turan, who will not be imprisoned on condition that he does not commit any crime for two years, will pay a €617,773 ($671,108) fine in six installments.

The Prosecutor's Office accused the former Turkish national in 2021 of defrauding more than €800,000.

Arda's former Barcelona teammates Neymar Jr. and Lionel Messi were also accused of tax evasion.
