In a machete attack on a kindergarten in Kampala, the capital of Uganda, 4 children lost their lives. The attacker entered the school posing as a parent and attacked the children inside. The incident was brought under control with police intervention.
It was reported that 4 children lost their lives in an attack carried out with a machete at a kindergarten in Kampala, the capital of Uganda. According to local media reports, Uganda police spokesperson Kituuma Rusoke announced that an attacker entered the Gaba Early Childhood Development Program kindergarten and preschool in Kampala with a machete.
THE ATTACKER ENTERED THE SCHOOL AS A PARENT
Rusoke stated that the attacker entered the school "acting like a parent" and then locked the school door and attacked the children inside with a machete. Rusoke expressed that 4 children aged 2 to 3 years lost their lives in the attack.
THE ATTACKER IS IN CUSTODY
Rusoke noted that the crowd gathered at the scene attempted to lynch the attacker and said that the police intervened in the incident. He added that the interrogation of the captured attacker is ongoing and emphasized that the reason for the attack, the suspect's background, and other details of the incident are being investigated.
