In the context of the Russia-Ukraine war, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky received another support step from French President Emmanuel Macron, who expressed that France's support for Kiev will continue. Macron announced that they will send additional Aster missiles and Mirage 2000 fighter jets to Ukraine in the coming days.
French President Emmanuel Macron participated online in the "Coalition of Volunteers" meeting held in hybrid format in London, the capital of England. In his speech at the meeting, Macron argued that there is no doubt that the "Coalition of Volunteers" is a coalition for peace.
"RUSSIA REJECTS ANY NEGOTIATION" Macron conveyed that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has repeatedly expressed his readiness for peace, stating, "We established this coalition to achieve a solid and lasting peace."
Indicating that they do not want a permanent conflict or surrender, Macron commented, "Russia is against this issue. It started this illegal and unjustified war and has so far rejected any negotiation."
MISSILE AND FIGHTER JET SUPPORT FOR UKRAINE Macron called for continued pressure on Russia, addressing Zelensky: "We must continue to increase our military support for Ukraine. Air defense capacity, drones (UAVs), anti-drone systems. Volodymyr, I want to confirm this. In the coming days, we will deliver additional Aster missiles, new training programs, and Mirage (2000 fighter jets)."
Macron argued that support should be provided to the Kiev government in the energy sector due to Russia's attacks on Ukraine's energy infrastructure, expressing his satisfaction with the simultaneous new sanctions decisions taken by the US and the European Union (EU) against Russia.
Mirage 2000 fighter jets Macron assessed that this situation would affect Russia's ability to finance the war, calling for work on the 20th sanctions package to be imposed against this country.
"A MULTINATIONAL FORCE SHOULD BE DEPLOYED TO UKRAINE" Emphasizing that a security strategy should be established for Ukraine to protect itself against a new attack in the future after a ceasefire is achieved in the Russia-Ukraine War, Macron stated that there are plans to deploy a multinational force to secure Ukraine's air and maritime domains and to strengthen the Ukrainian army after the conflicts end.
