Ayoub El Kaabi, who was born on June 25, 1993, in the Derb Milla neighborhood in Casablanca, Morocco, spent his childhood in this neighborhood. El Kaabi, who is the child of a modest family, grew up playing football with his friends in the neighborhood and construction sites. Kaabi, who wanted to help his family financially, worked as a carpentry apprentice by quitting school at the age of 15. In addition, Kaabi sold salt to grocery stores and worked with masons. He also continued to play football. Starting his football career at the age of 17 in a local club called Ettifaq Lalla Meryem, El Kaabi joined Racing Casablanca, one of the oldest clubs in the country, at the age of 19. Starting his career as a left-back, Kaabi later evolved into a striker position with the goals he scored.
HEADED TO CHINA
Ayoub El Kaabi, who finished the 2016-2017 season as the top scorer in the Moroccan Second League by scoring 25 goals, transferred to RS Berkane at the end of the season. He won the Moroccan Cup with his team in 2018. El Kaabi, who completed the season with a performance of 16 goals and 3 assists in 29 matches, transferred to Hebei F.C. from the Chinese League for a transfer fee of 6.5 million Euros on July 11, 2018. Playing alongside important names such as Javier Mascherano, Ezequiel Lavezzi, and Hernanes in the Chinese team, Kaabi was loaned to Wydad, his country's team, for 6 months in 2019. Ayoub El Kaabi, who signed with this club for free in September 2020, came to Turkey with Hatayspor in August 2021.

El Kaabi, who scored 18 goals in 32 matches he played in his first season with Hatayspor, made a significant contribution to his team finishing the season in 12th place. Starting the 2022-23 season with Hatayspor, El Kaabi transferred to Al-Sadd from the Qatari League in March 2023.
