Yerlikaya stated in his announcement: "In 2024, we hosted more than 62 million tourists. Our tourism sector is the shining star of our country. However, recently, there have been images on social media from some businesses that have caused outrage among our people. These images are absolutely unacceptable! I have assigned our Deputy Minister, our General Director of Security, and our Deputy Commander of the Gendarmerie General Command regarding this issue. We absolutely do not want such images to occur again.

“INSPECTIONS WILL CONTINUE UNINTERRUPTED AND DECISIVELY”

For this purpose, a meeting will be held tomorrow in Muğla, coordinated by our Deputy Minister, with the participation of our Governors and security units, regarding 'the measures and inspections to be taken.' Our police and gendarmerie will continue their inspections on land; our Coast Guard Command will carry out inspections at sea uninterruptedly and decisively. The results of the inspections will be transparently announced to the public."
