Additionally, at a meeting to be held tomorrow in Muğla, "the necessary measures and inspections" will be evaluated with governors and security units.

INSPECTIONS ARE BEING INTENSIFIED

By the ministry's instruction, the Police and Gendarmerie will continue their inspections in land areas, while the Coast Guard Command will carry out inspections at sea continuously and decisively. Yerlikaya also added that the results of the inspections will be announced to the public transparently. Emphasizing that the tourism sector is the "shining star" of the country, Minister Yerlikaya stated that they will not allow the sector to be harmed by such incidents. It is expected that the venues that drew reactions will be identified and necessary legal actions will be initiated.

"In 2024, we hosted more than 62 million tourists. Our tourism sector is the shining star of our country.

I have assigned our Deputy Minister, our General Director of Security, and our Deputy Commander of the Gendarmerie regarding this issue. We definitely do not want such images to occur again.

For this purpose, tomorrow in Muğla, under the coordination of our Deputy Minister, a meeting will be held with the participation of our governors and security units regarding 'the necessary measures and inspections.'
