The extraordinary general assembly of Altay Sports Club held in Izmir was postponed to a later date due to no candidates for the presidency. The club's debt reached 19 million 539 thousand Euros and 1 billion TL in Turkish Lira.
In the new season, Altay, which will compete again in the 3rd league, saw its extraordinary general assembly postponed unanimously to a future date due to the lack of a presidential candidate.
MOUNTAINS OF DEBT
At the general assembly held in the Turkey Active Football Referees Association Meeting Hall at Izmir Ataturk Stadium, it was announced that Altay's debt has reached 19 million 539 thousand Euros, amounting to 1 billion Turkish Lira. In Altay, where Sinan Kanlı serves as the unofficial president, after the financial statement was disclosed, the activities of the official president Hüseyin Kanlı's administration and the audit committee were put to a vote by the members. Following the evaluation, the administration and audit committee were unanimously discharged.
After evaluations from speaking members and discussions, it was decided to postpone the current session of the general assembly to a future date. With the postponement decision accepted by the majority of members in the vote, it was stated that the meeting will continue on a new date to be determined by the board of directors in the coming days. It was noted that the general assembly will resume from where it left off, and the new meeting will be held with the same participant list and maintaining the current agenda items. It was also learned that the date of the session, which will address the club's financial structure, administrative processes, and future plans, will be announced separately to the public by the board of directors.
