As the YKS preference period approaches, students are eagerly researching professions that offer job security and high earning potential. According to the data released by TÜİK, the field that finds jobs the fastest is healthcare. The highest-paying profession is piloting.

The most profitable and easiest professions to find jobs have been identified. According to the data, the highest employment rates are seen in the fields of medicine, special education teaching, and engineering; while graduates of the aviation department have the highest earning potential. The registered employment rate for bachelor's degree graduates, which was 75.6% in 2023, decreased to 75% in 2024. For associate degree graduates, this rate was calculated at 66.4%, showing a decline compared to the previous year.
HIGH EMPLOYMENT RATE IN HEALTH AND ENGINEERING FIELDS
The highest registered employment rate among bachelor's degree graduates was recorded in the medical field at 96.4%. This was followed by special education teaching at 95.1% and electrical teaching at 92.4%. Based on the average figures reported by employees, the salaries of medical doctors appear to be 180,000 TL.
According to the International Standard Classification of Education, the top three fields with the highest registered employment rates are health and welfare (86.7%), engineering, manufacturing, and construction (82.9%), and information and communication technologies (78.7%).
At the associate degree level, police vocational training ranked first with a rate of 92.3%. This was followed by electricity production (88.2%) and industrial molding (87.4%).
HEALTH DEPARTMENT GRADUATES FIND JOBS QUICKLY
According to TUIK's data, the average time for bachelor's degree graduates to find their first job remained stable at 14.4 months. For associate degree graduates, this period was calculated to be 16 months.
Among the departments that find jobs in the shortest time are; speech and language therapy (2.2 months), medicine (4.1 months), special education teaching (4.3 months), pharmacy (5.1 months), and midwifery (7.6 months). When looking at the field basis; graduates in health and welfare find jobs in an average of 8.9 months, engineering graduates in 11.6 months, and information technology graduates in 11.8 months.
PILOTAGE BECAME THE PROFESSION WITH THE HIGHEST INCOME
According to earnings data, the department with the highest average income among bachelor's degree graduates was pilotage. It was followed by mathematical engineering, aerospace engineering, medicine, and aircraft engineering.
On the other hand, the fields with the highest rates of working in a profession compatible with the area of study include health and welfare (79.9%), business management and law (79.4%), and education (63.8%). Pilotage also stands out as one of the highest-paying professions in Turkey. According to those who reported pilot salaries, the average pilot salary is known to be 250,000 TL.
