Manchester City Manager Pep Guardiola reacted strongly to the abusive chants directed at Phil Foden's mother by United fans during the Manchester derby played on Sunday, which ended in a goalless draw.

Guardiola stated that such remarks reflect a "lack of class." Speaking about the chants directed at the time when City was attacking the Stretford End in the first half of the derby, the Spanish manager said, "This is not United, these people, meaning the fans… In football, we are all very much in the spotlight, managers, players, club owners.
