A new alliance is coming! Erbakan has signaled.

Recently, the leader of the New Welfare Party, Erbakan, who has stirred political circles with his statements regarding alliances, has signaled a green light for a new coalition. "We are pursuing politics along the same line. They also draw from the National Vision Movement. Therefore, there is a possibility of a partnership, a collaboration in the upcoming elections in the form of an alliance with the Felicity Party," he said.

Leader of the New Welfare Party, Erbakan, made evaluations regarding the agenda on Ekol TV.

Stating that preparations for the congress are ongoing, Erbakan said, "Of course, as the New Welfare Party, we are preparing for our 3rd Ordinary Grand Congress with great speed. Our provincial congresses are currently ongoing. We are holding our provincial congresses especially in 4 or 3 provinces every weekend. Our district congresses are also continuing on one hand."

Reporting that the number of members has reached 650,000, Erbakan continued:

"We are working diligently as if there will be a market election at any moment with the goal of reaching 1 million members this year. Our membership has now reached 650,000. There was a very serious demand, especially during the election period, before the March 31 elections. Last year, we increased our membership by 257,000 in 2024. The increase in membership for all other parties, including the AK Party, remained at the level of 210,000. In other words, we achieved a greater increase in membership than the total membership increase of all other parties and became champions in growth. Of course, we are also continuing diligently to make a leap and reach 1 million. To make 1 million members, you may be contacting 10 million people. You are explaining to them about your party. This leads to serious promotion and propaganda."

"WE CONTINUE ON OUR PATH INDEPENDENTLY"

Emphasizing that they will definitely not come together with the People's Alliance, Erbakan stated, "We are currently on the opposition side. Especially in the March 31 local elections, we acted contrary to the People's Alliance by running separate candidates in the big cities and placed ourselves outside the People's Alliance. Therefore, we are currently in opposition, but there is no other alliance or block left. We continue on our path independently. One thing we can say for sure is that there will be no coming together with the People's Alliance. The nation also wants it this way from us. We emphasize this especially in the places we go. We also state emphatically that there will be no unity again."

Erbakan continued his remarks:

"We are our own candidates. We will work to win ourselves. We will seek the support of the nation to become the President. We have also expressed our candidacy for the presidency. Because we once withdrew in favor of Mr. Erdoğan in the presidential candidacy, we think that making such a move again, even if Mr. Erdoğan is not there, in favor of another candidate, or in favor of Mr. Mansur Yavaş, would not be a politically correct behavior. We also think it would not be a logically correct behavior. Parties are established to come to power, to govern the country, with a claim. A sacrifice was made due to the conditions of that period. But we especially express that such a thing will not happen again."

COULD THERE BE AN ALLIANCE WITH THE FELICITY PARTY?

Regarding the possibility of an alliance with the Felicity Party, Erbakan said, "We are conducting politics on many issues, both in domestic politics and foreign policy, and in terms of the criticisms we have brought to the government regarding the economy, on many issues we are operating on the same plane, on the same line. Our roots come from the same place, they are nourished from the National View Movement. Therefore, there is a possibility of a partnership, a collaboration in the upcoming elections in the form of an alliance with the Felicity Party."

"VOTERS ARE PLEASED WITH THE GATHERING OF RIGHT-WING PARTIES"

Erbakan commented on the alliance formed by the Felicity Party with the DEVA Party and the Future Party under the name of the New Path Party in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, saying, "They can also be included in the process. The Democratic Party, the Great Unity Party can also be included. I am not saying this because there is a study or a meeting regarding this, but I am saying it as an example. The sensitive issue here is that voters are pleased with the gathering of the parties they define as right-wing, and the voter base we address, which we can receive votes from, shows more favor if there is such a unity. Such a unity creates synergy."
