Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan stated, "Israel's actions have brought the internationally led system by the USA to the brink of total collapse."

Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan gave an interview to Al Jazeera Arabic and Qatar TV after the Extraordinary Joint Summit of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the Arab League Foreign Ministers Meeting held in Doha, the capital of Qatar.

"TURKEY STANDS BY QATAR"

At the beginning of his statement, Fidan conveyed his condolences to the people of Qatar due to Israel's recent attack, saying, "Turkey is with Qatar today, as it always has been. There is an unbreakable bond between Turkey and Qatar.

There is a very strong friendship and leadership relationship between our President and Sheikh Tamim. We stand by Qatar today, just as we have in all its difficult days. We condemned this latest attack by Israel in the strongest terms and communicated to our Qatari brothers that we are with them in whatever international and regional measures need to be taken," he said.

"THE ISSUE IS NOW ISRAEL'S EXPANSIONISM IN THE REGION"

Minister Fidan stated, "As you know, we held a ministers' meeting today, and our leaders will come together tomorrow, as you mentioned. I observed a certain atmosphere here today. The issue is no longer just about our region, the Palestine-Israel issue, or Israel's occupation of Palestine, or the ongoing genocide in Gaza, but also about Israel's pursuit of expansionism in the region. Therefore, both Arab countries and Islamic countries will discuss the necessary topics to mobilize the international community in identifying this issue and standing against it," he said.

"WE ARE CLOSELY MONITORING ATTACKS ON SYRIA"

Emphasizing that the biggest problem in the region is Israel's expansionism, Fidan said, "There are two reasons behind Israel's expansionism. The first is to expand Israeli territory and establish a Greater Israel, and the second is to leave the countries in the region, especially those neighboring Israel, weak, ineffective, and divided.

One of these is Syria. There are other countries as well, as you know. We are in communication with those countries. There is Lebanon, Jordan, Egypt, and countries neighboring Israel. One of them is Syria. We are, of course, closely monitoring the attacks on Syria. Since the Assad era, there have been Israeli operations against Syria. Today, although we see that these have decreased to a certain extent, they continue. However, we find the events in the south very dangerous. We believe that creating a division in Syria through social fault lines will benefit neither Syria nor the region," he said.

"ISRAEL'S ACTIONS HAVE BROUGHT THE US-LED INTERNATIONAL SYSTEM TO THE BRINK OF COLLAPSE"

Addressing the impact of the attacks on Qatar on the USA's relations with regional countries, Fidan said, "As you know, all the countries in the Gulf have good relations with the USA, and Turkey also has good relations. Our President has a special relationship with Mr. Trump. However, in the US political system, there is an exception area when it comes to relations with Israel. Unfortunately, this exception area overrides all other relations at once.

This, of course, is a situation that causes the USA to lose points and position in the region. It is a situation that greatly offends the USA's friends in the region and puts the USA in a difficult position. But alongside this, our President, we, and the Americans discuss this issue at every level, stating that the crimes against humanity, civilian casualties, and expansionism that Israel has displayed in the region not only affect the region but also global security, bringing the internationally led system by America to the brink of total collapse at every opportunity. However, it must be acknowledged that the American political system has its own internal dilemmas in mobilizing," he said.
