CEASEFIRE PLAN CONSISTS OF 3 STAGES
The first stage of the three-stage ceasefire plan announced by US President Biden at the end of last month includes a six-month ceasefire along with the release of Israeli hostages in exchange for Palestinian prisoners, the withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza settlements, and the return of Palestinian civilians to their places of residence. The first stage also envisages the safe entry of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip.
The second stage of the proposal includes the release of remaining hostages in Gaza through an agreement between Israel and Hamas to permanently end hostilities and the complete withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza.
The third stage includes a reconstruction plan in Gaza and the delivery of the bodies of the deceased hostages to their families.
