The leader of the CHP, Özgür Özel, who made evaluations regarding the PKK's dissolution, stated, "This should be carried out without excluding anyone; the place for this is the Parliament." Özel also directed harsh words towards the MHP leader, Devlet Bahçeli, one of the architects of the process, saying, "We are not politicians who turn 180 degrees with the push of a button. Today, Bahçeli is such a politician."

CHP General Chairman Özgür Özel made evaluations regarding the process following the announcement of the dissolution decision of the terrorist organization PKK.
HE POINTED TO THE PARLIAMENT
Speaking on the Çalar Saat program with İlker Karagöz, Özel stated, "What we are saying today is this; this process must be carried out without excluding anyone, and the place for this is the Parliament. A commission should be established, and this commission should make the legal arrangements. If a social consensus is to be sought, other martyr families who have been harmed by this process must definitely participate in the commission at the table that will be established in that Parliament, and the consent of these people must be obtained," he expressed.
Highlights from CHP leader Özel's statements;
"I said, 'We should not be involved in a matter where we cannot look into the eyes of the martyr families.' Sırrı Süreyya Önder also said, 'Sometimes you cannot look into the eyes of the martyr's mother today, but tomorrow when the other child lives, they will come and hug you.' Today, this issue should be resolved through social consensus, and all of Turkey will benefit from it. The wrong calculation here is this; there is a festive atmosphere in the government media, and they have their own heroes of the issue. Brother, after this issue is successfully resolved, the nation will appreciate whoever it wants, but let it not be done through perception operations. Of course, negotiations have been held before this; there is nothing more normal than that, but today we are pursuing the wrong buttoning of the first button from the very first day it was announced that the weapons would be laid down. These are wrong...
The framework we have drawn is that it would be right for the Speaker of the Parliament to take the initiative, and a preparatory commission should be invited, and everyone should have a seat at the table to have their opinions heard. We have a commission of 10 people. When I asked Mr. Sırrı, he said, 'If you are going to ask us about a secret agreement or a constitutional bargain, then curse at us.' I cannot say anything where the late one has a clear guarantee, but if there is, we will not be there.
HARSH WORDS FOR BAHÇELİ
We say that a constitution cannot be made with something that does not comply with the current constitution. Secondly, they say that a decision has been made somewhere, that there is a deep state that has pressed the button, and that whatever the state elder says, the state does it. I am not a part of such an inorganic politician. I am not a politician who will change direction 180 degrees just because someone presses a button. I would rather leave politics than do that; I would give up everything rather than give up what I believe is right. We are not politicians who are controlled and turn 180 degrees by pressing a button. Today, Devlet Bahçeli is such a politician.
"THERE ARE TWO ADDRESSEES OF THIS STATEMENT"
In our statement yesterday, we reminded how much importance we attach to Lausanne. However, I will not make myself a party to a statement from a terrorist organization that has targeted the army of the founding party of the Republic of Turkey, which has carried out terrorist acts against the Republic of Turkey for 45 years. There are two addressees of this statement; Mr. Bahçeli and Mr. Erdoğan. That statement is not one that can be announced without the approval of the National Intelligence Organization; they are negotiating the words. Since the day that congress ended...
If the Republic of Turkey can be brought side by side with genocide in the process where words are negotiated, and if Lausanne can be criticized, those who are involved in this must respond. We are the party that took that title deed from Lausanne by force. Now, while the government, which has entrusted that title deed to themselves, is silent about the inclusion of this in the text as a result of their discussions with the terrorist organization, let them be asked. The nation knows that the state knows the statement made by Abdullah Öcalan, who established and held that congress, word for word, and that it would not be announced without that knowledge. If there is a signature of Abdullah Öcalan under that statement, there is also the signature of Devlet Bahçeli and Erdoğan.
"THEY CANNOT OPERATE A CONSTITUTIONAL PROCESS DESPITE US"
From now on, they cannot operate a new constitutional process. The Republican People's Party is clearly stating its position. They cannot operate a constitutional process here despite us. We are here; we are both the guarantee of peace and the guarantee of the indivisible integrity of Turkey. Just as they planned a coup one morning, no matter how much we thwarted that coup, when they try to do something that challenges this country against the CHP tomorrow, on the day they attempt a coup, those who are very confident in themselves will taste the power of the Republican People's Party and this nation from a completely different place. That is a separate matter. They should get their heads together. If we are to end terrorism, we must sit together in the Parliament and discuss it through legal arrangements, defending democracy, freedom, and the right to a fair trial for everyone in Turkey, and if we are to carry this out transparently, we will. We are the guarantee of the indivisible integrity of this country. Where we are not, secret bargains and negotiations do not operate a healthy process. Everyone should get their heads together!"
