Businessman Hasan Akçakayalıoğlu and Zeynep Akçakayalıoğlu's 19-year-old daughter, Defne Akçakayalıoğlu, was laid to rest in a ceremony held in Levent after her passing in Miami, USA.
Businessman Hasan and Zeynep Akçakayalıoğlu's 19-year-old daughter, Defne Akçakayalıoğlu, passed away at home in Miami on August 24 while on vacation. The funeral of the young Akçakayalıoğlu, who lost her life at a young age, was brought to Turkey.
A funeral ceremony was held today at Levent Barbaros Hayrettin Paşa Mosque for Defne Akçakayalıoğlu at noon. In addition to family members, names from the business and society world also attended the ceremony.
Yıldırım Demirören, Chairman of the Board of Demirören Holding, and his wife Revna Demirören, as well as Meltem Demirören, Vice Chairman of the Board of Demirören Holding, were also present at the ceremony.
After the ceremony, Defne Akçakayalıoğlu was laid to rest at Ulus Cemetery amidst tears.
CAUSE OF DEATH OF DEFNE AKÇAKAYALIOĞLU
Well-known figures in the business world, Hasan Akçakayalıoğlu and Zeynep Akçakayalıoğlu, went to visit their daughter Defne in Miami. According to the information obtained, Akçakayalıoğlu, who went to the beach with her family and swam in the sea, fell asleep after returning home. In the morning, her parents found the young girl lying motionless in her bed and reported the situation to the medical teams. The teams that arrived at the house determined that the young girl had passed away.
