In the CHP congress case, the court adjourned the hearing due to a request to hear Adem Soytekin, who was presented as a critical witness. It is considered that Soytekin's allegations regarding KİPTAŞ residences could affect the course of the case.
The court has adjourned the hearing in the case filed regarding CHP's 38th Ordinary Convention, known publicly as the 'nullity case,' in line with the request to hear the critical witness Adem Soytekin.
SOYTEKIN'S STATEMENTS COULD CHANGE THE COURSE OF THE CASE
It is noted that the court's decision to postpone was influenced by the assessment that Soytekin's statements, frequently mentioned in the case file, are significant for the course of the case.
ALLEGATION THAT 75 APARTMENTS WERE GIVEN TO INFLUENTIAL FIGURES DURING THE CONVENTION PROCESS
In the remorse statements included in the investigation files, Soytekin claimed that approximately 75 apartments in the KİPTAŞ housing complex in Pendik Arkatlı, of which he was the contractor, were given to influential figures during the CHP convention process.
HE SAID 'IF I AM RELEASED, I CAN PROVIDE DETAILED DOCUMENTS'
It has been learned that in his statement dated June 16, 2025, Soytekin brought up the allegation that the aforementioned houses were distributed within the scope of a relationship of interest in political processes; and in a petition he submitted to the court in January 2026, he stated that due to being in prison, he could not access all lists and documents, and that he could provide detailed documents if he were released.
Meanwhile, in investigative circles, it is assessed that the potential lists and documents Soytekin could present to the court might affect not only the convention case but also the İBB file and the CHP Istanbul Provincial Congress investigations. The court is expected to address the processes regarding the hearing of Adem Soytekin at the session on July 1.
