Teams from the Denizli Provincial Police Department's City Traffic Control Branch conducted an inspection last evening at the checkpoint at the Şekerci Stop intersection in Aktepe District.
FLED IGNORING THE 'STOP' SIGNAL
At around 21:30, the teams issued a 'Stop' signal to the car with license plate 20 AIN 451, driven by Gamze B., who was heading from Sevindik District toward Aktepe District. Ignoring the signal, Gamze B. began to flee, and the police teams gave chase.
SHE HIT PARKED VEHICLES
During the chase, Gamze B. crashed into 4 vehicles in total, 3 of which were parked. The accident was captured on the security cameras of a business. Gamze B. was stopped and taken into custody by the police.
PREVIOUSLY PENALIZED FOR DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE
It was determined that Gamze B., found to have 1.70 promil alcohol in her blood, had previously had her driver's license confiscated for driving under the influence. Gamze B. was fined a total of 450,000 liras for various offenses.
