Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan stated regarding U.S. President Donald Trump's remarks about the "expulsion of Palestinians from Gaza," that "the expulsion of Palestinians is unacceptable. We do not believe that such proposals should be taken seriously." Fidan also noted that he wishes to make a visit to Palestine, saying, "If the conditions are suitable, there is no problem with my coming."

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hakan Fidan, made evaluations regarding the ceasefire process in Gaza, the statements of U.S. President Donald Trump, Israel's policies in the region, and the international community's reactions on Palestine TV, which is based in Palestine.

"PALESTINIAN DISPLACEMENT IS UNACCEPTABLE"

In response to a question about Trump's statements regarding the "displacement of Palestinians from Gaza" and the international community's reaction to it, Fidan said, "Palestinian displacement is unacceptable. We do not think that such proposals should be taken seriously."

"THERE IS NO OTHER POLITICAL PROJECT MORE SUPPORTED THAN THE TWO-STATE SOLUTION IN THE WORLD"

Fidan made the following assessment: "In 1948, Palestinians were displaced once. Later, to resolve this issue, the international community proposed a two-state solution that would allow Israel to live side by side with a Palestinian State based on the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital, and with geographical integrity. As the Islamic world, as Turkey, as the Arab world, and as the overwhelming majority of the international community, you can see this in the latest vote at the United Nations, we stand behind this view.

There is no other political project in the world that is more supported than this view. However, it is unfortunate that such a widely accepted two-state solution project cannot be practically implemented. As the international community, as regional countries, the Arab world, the Islamic world, the European Union, Africa, South America, Asia-Pacific; everyone will continue to diplomatically oppose this issue."

Is Minister Fidan going to Palestine?

"ONLY A REALISTIC ATTITUDE FROM THE INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY CAN HOLD NETANYAHU"

In response to expectations regarding the ceasefire agreement in Gaza and whether the ceasefire will continue, Fidan said, "Unfortunately, this scenario remains valid, and our only wish is for the genocide that has been ongoing since October 7 to stop, for the ceasefire that has been reached to continue, and for Gazans to return to their homes and start their normal lives. We are doing everything we can as the international community."

Fidan continued: "Netanyahu's mindset is, of course, evident. He sometimes does not hesitate to show it. After rescuing the hostages, there is nothing else that can hold him. Only a realistic attitude from the international community can hold him, meaning a stance that completely isolates Israel. You know there are three guarantor states for the agreement: Egypt, Qatar, and the USA. The USA needs to exert pressure to ensure that Israel complies with the provisions of this agreement. If this does not happen, and if Netanyahu starts a war again with American support, America's already plummeting credibility will sink even further, and this distortion in the international system will allow the continuation of a crisis."

"WE HAVE PROJECTS FOR A TWO-STATE SOLUTION"

In response to the question of whether Turkey will make new diplomatic initiatives to ensure Israel's prosecution, Fidan stated: "We are currently continuing our diplomatic initiatives. Especially the Contact Group formed by the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the Arab League, which consists of seven countries, four of which are Arab and three are non-Arab. Our work and consultations are ongoing without slowing down. Because the ceasefire had brought a stage. After this, we need to think about how to advance this, and the two-state solution should not fall off the agenda, especially now that it has gained momentum. Because as the peoples of the region, we know best how the Palestinian issue is a source of instability and conflict in our region. The way to bring a permanent solution to this is to implement a two-state solution where both Israelis and Palestinians can live in security. We have repeatedly expressed our readiness to provide all necessary support as the international community and regional countries. Our work in this direction will continue. We have various consultations and projects on this issue. In the coming weeks and months, you will see these being implemented one by one."

"WHAT HAPPENED IN GAZA WAS THE RESULT OF GENOCIDE"

Regarding the events in Gaza, Minister Fidan said, "International support and awareness for the Palestinian cause have reached the highest level it can achieve in modern times. Unfortunately, this happened as a result of genocide. On the other hand, I regret to say that the inability to prevent such a strongly opposed issue by the international community shows the dysfunction of the international system and the impotence of the international community."

Fidan continued: "Now, the international community and the international system need to take some steps to address their own weaknesses, dysfunctions, and impotence. The steps to be taken regarding the Palestinian issue from now on are actually a good opportunity for this. As Turkey, we are making the necessary calls to the international community for a fair and lasting resolution of this issue. The implementation of a two-state solution based on the 67 borders will not only relieve the regional countries but also restore the right of Palestinians to establish a dignified state and reduce the risk of global conflict. Now, the mindset that opposes such a lasting good is a devilish mindset, and we need to pay close attention to it. You may recall that in the last UN vote regarding Palestine, it received more than 145 votes. This is an enormous support. We hope that this support will also be realized in practice."

"WE HAVE CLOSE COOPERATION WITH ISLAMIC COUNTRIES TO PROTECT JERUSALEM'S IDENTITY"

In response to a question about Turkey's efforts to protect the identity of Jerusalem, Fidan said, "The issue of Jerusalem is an important symbol of the Palestinian issue. In addition to our dear, esteemed Palestinian brothers who lost their lives there, another important aspect for us is Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa Mosque, which stem from our religion. The games played over this, the complete Judaization of Jerusalem, the removal of its international identity, its Muslim identity, and its Christian identity, and the imposition of a single-religion approach here is, of course, unacceptable." Fidan stated that Turkey is closely working with Jordan on the issue of Jerusalem, saying, "We support Jordan's stance here. We have close cooperation with Islamic countries on this issue, and we have serious efforts. Unfortunately, Israel continues to take provocative steps in Jerusalem with the support it receives."

"WE WILL HAVE NEW MEETINGS WITH THE PALESTINIAN ADMINISTRATION IN THE COMING DAYS"

In response to the question, "Is there a summit between the Palestinian and Turkish administrations in the near future?" Fidan referred to the visit of Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas last August and his speech in the Turkish Grand National Assembly, saying, "While our country is divided on many issues, it is, of course, a historic moment for the Palestinian issue to be united as one heart, one body, and for the Turkish Grand National Assembly to show this to Mr. Abbas."

He responded, "In the coming days, we will have new meetings, new gatherings. Our support for the Palestinian administration continues uninterrupted."

Is Minister Fidan going to Palestine?

"IF CONDITIONS ARE FAVORABLE, THERE IS NO ISSUE WITH MY VISIT TO PALESTINE"

Noting that he wants to make a visit to Palestine, Fidan said, "If conditions are favorable, there is no issue with my coming." Minister Fidan stated: "As long as a permanent solution is not provided, we will constantly face a larger war. Therefore, as soon as this war starts, we immediately put the two-state solution alongside the ceasefire so that we do not see this war again. Look, we need to find a political solution to this problem. But if you are the owner of a project that wants to take not only the land of the Palestinians but also that of Egypt, Jordan, Syria, and Lebanon, and to further expand and grow Israel, of course, you would not want a two-state solution; you would just delay it."

"NO ONE CAN SAY ANYTHING DUE TO THE UNCONDITIONAL SUPPORT OF THE USA"

If a land-expanding person is not making peace, he is certainly facing the risk of shrinking and losing his own land. That’s why I say, this is the date, this is the moment. While the Islamic world and the Arab world are ready to support a two-state solution for both Israel and the Palestinians, and while everyone is ready to recognize and cooperate with Israel after such a solution, this needs to be utilized. We have had the opportunity to work, meet, and consult with them in various positions for years, and we have had the opportunity to negotiate, but unfortunately, the current dominant strategic culture is in favor of expansionism and uses peace negotiations, ceasefire negotiations, and every issue merely as a tool for expansionism. They are not sincere in any matter. The peoples of the region see this, but due to the unconditional support of the USA, no one can come out and say anything. That is the essence of the matter."

"THE WHOLE WORLD IS UNITED ON THE PALESTINE ISSUE"

Hakan Fidan conveyed the following messages to the Palestinian people: "The Palestinian people should be hopeful. Inshallah, the support of the whole world, not just the Arabs and Muslims, but all the oppressed, all rational and conscientious countries is with the Palestinian people. Right now, everyone is coming against this oppression in their hearts and on their tongues, against this injustice. The whole world is united on the Palestine issue. This oppression cannot continue in this way. We will see that it will have very different consequences that will impact the world."
