An elderly man in the Kale district of Denizli, who was ordered to pay 100,000 lira due to his involvement in a traffic accident, fell into depression and drank a lime remover, claiming he would not pay the debt. The individual, who had been under treatment for about 6 months, could not be saved despite all efforts.
In the Kale district of Denizli, 69-year-old M.M, while trying to reverse his car from in front of his house, collided with a vehicle belonging to a teacher, causing material damage.
FAINTED AFTER ARGUMENT WITH TEACHER
M.M stated that he would not cover the entire damage but could pay a portion of it. M.M, who argued with the teacher at the scene and fainted, was taken to the hospital with the teacher's help.
ENTERED A DEPRESSION AFTER THE COURT'S DECISION
The teacher, who wanted compensation for the damage to his vehicle, sued M.M when he did not receive a positive response. The court found M.M at fault and ordered him to pay the teacher 100,000 TL. Following the decision, the elderly man, who was claimed to have entered a depression, attempted to end his life by drinking lime solvent in his home where he lived alone.
LOST HIS 6-MONTH FIGHT FOR LIFE
M.M, who was taken to the hospital, was transferred to a more comprehensive hospital after treatment at the district hospital. The elderly man, a father of three, could not be saved despite all interventions at the hospital where he had been treated for about 6 months, and he was laid to rest at the Kale District Cemetery.
