The Iranian Foreign Ministry described the U.S. decision to impose secondary sanctions on Iran's trading partners as "illegal," stating that this situation harms diplomatic relations and increases insecurity. The statement also emphasized that the U.S. would not achieve any results through threats and pressures.

The Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs reacted to the recent U.S. sanctions decision against Iran, stating, "The continuation of illegal sanctions and the increase in pressure on Iran's trading partners reveal the insincere approach of the U.S. towards diplomacy and deepen insecurity."

Iran strongly reacted to the recent sanctions decision announced by the United States (U.S.) with a statement.

TRUMP'S LETTER REMINDED

In a written statement by the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, it was noted that reference was made to the letter sent by U.S. President Donald Trump to Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, indicating that three rounds of indirect talks had been held between the two countries so far, but this step contradicted diplomacy and undermined trust.

The statement said, "The Iranian delegation clearly articulated its demands for the peaceful nuclear energy rights in accordance with international law and the lifting of sanctions during these talks, demonstrating serious will for a fair and lasting agreement."

"SANCTIONS POLICY HARMS THE NEGOTIATION PROCESS"

The statement emphasized that the simultaneous continuation of the sanctions policy by the U.S. administration harmed the negotiation process, stating, "The continuation of illegal sanctions and the increase in pressure on Iran's trading partners reveal the insincere approach of the U.S. towards diplomacy and deepen insecurity."

"DIPLOMACY IS THE ONLY VALID PATH"

In the continuation of the statement, it was emphasized that Iran would not compromise on its just and legitimate stance within the framework of international law, stating, "It is clear that the U.S. cannot achieve any results through threats and pressure. Diplomacy is the only valid path to resolve this issue."

U.S. SANCTIONS DECISION AGAINST IRAN AND CHINA

The U.S. Department of the Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) announced that sanctions were imposed on six individuals and six entities, including Iranian and Chinese citizens, for contributing to the procurement of materials for the ballistic missile program of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).

In the statement from the ministry, it was noted that these individuals and entities provided material and technical support to Iran's missile program, and in this context, it was reported that assets in the U.S. would be frozen and U.S. citizens would be prohibited from engaging in commercial activities with these individuals and entities.

TRUMP'S SECOND SANCTION ON IRAN'S TRADE PARTNERS

U.S. President Donald Trump, in a post on his Truth Social account, targeted countries and individuals purchasing oil from Iran, stating, "All purchases of Iranian oil or petrochemical products must be immediately halted. Any country or individual purchasing any amount of oil or petrochemical products from Iran will be subject to immediate secondary sanctions. They will not be able to trade with the U.S. in any way."
