Alihan Güldal, who broke his neck after jumping into a pool in the Karasu district of Sakarya, has passed away. It was reported that the 23-year-old amateur football player got engaged two weeks ago.
DIED AFTER BREAKING HIS NECK
The incident occurred today around 3:30 PM in the pool of a site located on 267th Street in Karasu Yalı Neighborhood. Alihan Güldal jumped into the pool to cool off. After the jump, Güldal remained motionless and was pulled out of the water by those nearby. Health teams dispatched to the scene upon notification determined that Güldal had broken his neck. After the first intervention, Alihan Güldal was first taken to Karasu State Hospital. He was then transferred to Sakarya Training and Research Hospital for comprehensive treatment. However, despite all the efforts of the doctors, Alihan Güldal could not be saved.
ENGAGED TWO WEEKS AGO
It was learned that Alihan Güldal came from Istanbul, got engaged two weeks ago, and came to his fiancée's summer house for a vacation. It was noted that Güldal played football for the Gümüşsuyu team, which competes in the 1st Amateur League. The police have launched an investigation into the incident.
