A 61-year-old driver in Thailand, who got into his vehicle to go to work in the morning, noticed an unidentified woman's corpse in the back seat as he approached his destination. The driver, stating that his car's locking system was broken, said he did not know the woman and had no involvement in the incident.
The incident occurred in the Phra Pradaeng district of Samut Prakan, Thailand. 61-year-old Chanasin, who runs a butcher shop, reported the situation to the police after discovering a woman's body in the back seat of his black Nissan car, which he had parked at the entrance of the Chao Pho Thap Samrong Temple.
THE WOMAN IS ESTIMATED TO BE 60-70 YEARS OLD
Upon the report, police, forensic, and rescue teams were dispatched to the scene. Initial examinations estimated the woman, found leaning back in the rear seat, to be between 60 and 70 years old. It was stated that no identification was found on her, and no wounds or signs of assault were detected during preliminary checks.
SHE MAY HAVE DIED A FEW HOURS EARLIER
Police teams are considering the possibility that the woman may have died a few hours before the incident. It was reported that driver Chanasin was in great shock while giving his statement.
"I DON'T KNOW THE WOMAN AT ALL"
Chanasin stated he had never seen the woman before and had no involvement in her death. The driver explained that after closing his shop the previous day, he went home and parked his car in its usual spot, and the next morning he got into his car to go to work.
THE CAR'S LOCK WAS BROKEN
Chanasin, saying his car's locking system had been broken for a long time and therefore he could not lock the vehicle, noted that he did not notice anything unusual during the journey. The driver recounted that while reaching for his bag on the front seat as he neared his destination, he felt something touch his back, and when he turned around, he encountered the woman's corpse.
The police are continuing their investigation to determine the cause of death of the yet-unidentified woman and how she entered the vehicle.
