Abdülkerim Bardakcı, who wears the Galatasaray jersey, made statements after the match in which they reached the final of the Ziraat Turkey Cup. Galatasaray's defender Abdülkerim Bardakcı spoke after their match against his former team Konyaspor, where they won 5-1 and advanced to the final of the Ziraat Turkey Cup. Abdülkerim also addressed the tension he experienced with the green-whites before the match.

Abdülkerim Bardakcı stated, "We played a very good match, we were very well prepared. We are continuing in both cups. Hopefully, we want to win the Turkey Cup as well and finish the season with two cups. I hope it will be granted to us," he expressed.

Abdülkerim Bardakcı, regarding the reactions he received in his hometown Konya, said, "I wanted to speak about this specifically. I wear number 42, I was the captain here. My wife, mother, and children came to the match. Why these reactions? I wear number 42, I represented Konya. I love Konya very much, everyone knows this. I wear number 42. I might have been happy when I scored a goal; I was happy with the beautiful goal I scored. They know how much I love being from Konya. I was saddened. It's unbelievable. I can't find anything to say. I love Konya and I will continue to wear number 42. I will continue to make the real people of Konya proud," he said.

Following this, Bardakcı approached the stands and argued with the fans. The argument was prevented from escalating by Konyaspor's forward Umut Nayir.
