Singer Yusuf Güney, who was arrested for using expressions promoting "Ayahuasca Tea" in a broadcast on a digital platform, was released under judicial control measures in the form of 'house arrest'.
Teams from the Istanbul Police Department's Narcotics Crime Prevention Branch determined that Yusuf Güney, who appeared on a program broadcast on a digital platform, used language encouraging the use of 'Ayahuasca Tea'.
ARRESTED ON APRIL 9
Investigations revealed that the DMT substance found in 'Ayahuasca Tea' is among prohibited substances. Following further work, Yusuf Güney was taken into custody and referred to the courthouse, where he was arrested by the court on April 9.
RELEASED UNDER JUDICIAL CONTROL
It was decided to release Güney under judicial control measures in the form of 'house arrest'.
