It has been revealed that 17-year-old Zeynep Yıldırım, who went missing after leaving without permission from a hospital in Istanbul in 2022 where she was taken for treatment, was killed. Police, who determined that the last signal from the girl's phone came from F.D.'s house in Esenyurt, detained 6 suspects in simultaneous operations in Istanbul and Sinop. Efforts are ongoing to find Zeynep Yıldırım's body.

SHE LEFT THE HOSPITAL, AND NO WORD WAS HEARD FROM HER AGAIN
Zeynep Yıldırım left the hospital in Istanbul, where she had been taken for treatment on September 12, 2022, without permission. No word was heard from Yıldırım, who was 17 years old at that time, afterward. Teams from the Public Order Branch Directorate's Missing Persons Bureau Office initiated work to find the young girl, who had been missing for about 4 years. In the examinations conducted by the teams, Yıldırım's phone records were scrutinized.
THE LAST SIGNAL FROM HER PHONE WAS RECEIVED IN ESENYURT
In their work on phone records, police teams determined that Zeynep Yıldırım last spoke with a person named F.D. It was also found that the last signal from the young girl's phone came from F.D.'s house in Esenyurt. Thereupon, efforts were focused on F.D. and people connected to him. Based on the information obtained, the police assessed that Zeynep Yıldırım was killed between October 4, 2022, and October 10, 2022.
ONE OF THE SUSPECTS IS IN PRISON FOR ANOTHER MURDER
Another striking detail in the investigation emerged regarding F.D. Police teams found that F.D. was arrested and sent to prison in 2024 in connection with the murder of another person. As a result of the work carried out, a total of 6 suspects, considered to be connected to Zeynep Yıldırım's death, were identified.
SIMULTANEOUS OPERATION IN ISTANBUL AND SINOP
On September 1, 2026, a simultaneous operation was carried out at 5 addresses determined in Istanbul and Sinop to apprehend the suspects. In the operations, 6 suspects identified as connected to the incident were taken into custody. It was learned that the procedures of the suspects at the Public Order Branch Directorate's Missing Persons Bureau Office are ongoing.
ZEYNEP'S BODY IS BEING SEARCHED FOR

It was learned that police teams continue their work to determine the location of Zeynep Yıldırım's body.
