IT CAME SICK TO THE FRONT OF THE MARKET

İsrafil Arslan, who runs a market in Ümraniye's Elmalıkent Neighborhood, took over the treatment of a sick crow that came in front of his workplace about 1.5 years ago by feeding it. The crow, which recovered, began coming constantly in front of the workplace after that day. Arslan made a place for the crow he adopted in the market and named it Pasha. Arslan, who stated that he cares for Pasha like a child, said that the crow comes to the workplace at certain times of the day, eats, sleeps, and after playing spends some time with him and then flies freely.

HE RAISED IT LIKE LOVING A CHILD

Shop owner İsrafil Arslan said, 'The friendship between me and the crow began 1.5 months ago. It had come to the shop. I saw it outside; it lacked confidence, probably because it was sick, its mother had abandoned it. I bought cat food from the pet shop on the side. The first day it ate a few pieces and ran away. The second day, the third day, and so on, it followed me to the shop. It was evening; when it did not leave, I showed it a place in the shop. I said, 'Go sleep there,' and it listened to me. It slept there uneasily. Then it got to know us, perceived customers' voices. It perceived those coming and going, and it stuck in its mind. It felt safe. When I first saw it, it already had a few feathers on the back of its neck, and none at all on its tail. I raised it with compassion, like loving a child. It is a beautiful feeling; our neighborhood is pleased with this situation. The animal goes outside, takes a bath, and comes back. I clean it and comb its hair. I looked after it as if you love and raise a child. I did what I could. There has never been a lack of animals in my shop. I constantly had cats too. In winter, in cold weather, cats constantly come. I also protect and feed them,' he said.
