HE SAW THE HOLY LANDS IN HIS DREAM

Murat Tecimen, a nursing home worker from Çanakkale, decided to perform Umrah after seeing in his dream that he went to the holy lands. On October 2, after a ceremony held following Friday prayers, Tecimen set off by bicycle toward Mecca. Reaching Reyhanlı district, Tecimen completed 1,300 kilometers of his 4,000-kilometer journey and crossed into Syria through the Cilvegözü Customs Gate.

HE HAS 2,600 KILOMETERS AHEAD OF HIM

Making a statement during his crossing, Tecimen said, "After performing Friday prayers in Çanakkale, I set off with the blessings of my fellow townspeople. I began my bicycle journey by saying Bismillah. Thank God, I reached Hatay. I still have 2,600 kilometers ahead of me. Previously, for respect and loyalty to the martyrs, I had delivered the martyrs' soil I received from the Çanakkale 50th Regiment Martyrdom and the glorious Turkish flag to the Governor of Samsun on May 19. This time, I am pedaling to fulfill the dream I saw."

THIS ROAD IS ALL OF OUR ROAD

Tecimen said, "Upon the dream I saw, I decided to respond to the invitation. Love fell into my heart; I came with love. I wanted to cover every kilometer of this road by shedding my sweat. May God be pleased with everyone who opened their hearts and tables to me during my journey. This road is not only my road; it is all of our road. If the Lord grants me to reach the Kaaba safely and soundly and the presence of our Prophet, when I open my hands, I will pray for all of us."
