Uğur Özyurt, who fled after killing his brother Burakcan Özyurt with a gun in Arnavutköy, Istanbul, was found dead hanging in the garden of a friend's house in Silivri. An investigation has been launched by the Silivri Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding the matter.
It has been revealed that the young man who shot and killed his older brother during an argument in the Arnavutköy district of Istanbul committed suicide at a friend's house in Silivri.
SHOT HIS BROTHER AND FLED The incident occurred on the night of February 17 in Arnavutköy. According to allegations, a dispute arose between Uğur Özyurt (25) and his brother Burakcan Özyurt (27) for an unknown reason. In the escalating argument, Uğur Özyurt fired at his brother Burakcan Özyurt with the gun he had with him. The severely injured brother Özyurt died at the scene. After the incident, Uğur Özyurt fled while police teams dispatched to the area took extensive security measures.
Burakcan Özyurt FOUND HANGING IN HIS FRIEND'S HOUSE Police teams that started working to capture the fleeing suspect discovered that the suspect Özyurt had hanged himself with a rope in the backyard of his friend R.G.'s house in Silivri. An investigation has been initiated by the Silivri Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding the matter, while the body of Uğur Özyurt, who lost his life, was taken to the Forensic Medicine Institute morgue for autopsy procedures.
