After the attacks initiated by the US and Israel against Iran, Iran also struck US bases in Qatar, the UAE, Bahrain, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, and Jordan. The footage showed a large explosion at the moment the missile hit and black smoke spreading into the sky. There were also moments captured of the local population fleeing in fear and panic.
"WE NEUTRALIZED TWO MISSILES"
A Qatari official, speaking to CNN on the condition of anonymity, stated that the country neutralized two missiles launched from Iran. An official from the Qatari Ministry of Defense also reported to Al Jazeera that the missiles launched from Iran were hit by the US-made Patriot air defense system.
WARNING TO THE PUBLIC FROM QATAR: STAY AWAY FROM MILITARY BASES
Qatar issued a warning via mobile devices, advising the public to stay at home and avoid military bases. Meanwhile, Qatar announced that it had neutralized a missile originating from Iran in its airspace with its defense systems.
US EMBASSY INITIATES 'STAY IN THE SHELTER' PROTOCOL
The US Embassy in Qatar initiated a "Stay in the shelter, stay in a safe area" protocol for all personnel and advised Americans in Qatar to follow the same guidelines.
