In Adana, it was revealed that Atilla Cücü, who beat his 61-year-old friend Murat Arlı to death at the bus station and wrapped his body in a blanket and threw it into a drainage canal, had killed Tuğçe Omita, the 9-year-old daughter of his neighbor, after sexually abusing her in 1998. Tuğçe's mother, Döne Omita, said, "This man killed my daughter and threw her into the sewer. When I saw him on TV, I went back to the day my daughter died. I had a nervous breakdown."

KILLED HIS FRIEND BY BEATING HIM UP

The special team established by the Provincial Police Department, Homicide Bureau, found the body of Murat Arlı, who worked as a beggar at the city bus station and whose family had reported him missing, on March 10th in the Karataş district, wrapped in a blanket inside a sack and decomposed on the seaside.

During the investigation of the murder, the team tracked the IMEI number of Arlı's closed cell phone. After the phone signaled from Kars 4 months later, it was determined that the phone was being used by Atilla Cücü's son, who worked as a beggar with him at the bus station. The police conducted simultaneous operations in Adana and Kars and detained 5 suspects, including Cücü and his son.

During his interrogation at the police station, Atilla Cücü confessed to the murder, saying, "We were staying together at the bus station. We had been drinking together, we had a fight. I killed my friend in a moment of anger by beating him up. Then I wrapped the body in a blanket, put it in a sack, and carried it to the drainage canal on my motorcycle. I deeply regret it." Atilla Cücü was arrested and the other 4 suspects were released under judicial control after being taken to the courthouse.

It was learned that Atilla Cücü went to prison for murder and sexual assault in 1998 and was recently released. It was revealed that Cücü had called his neighbor's 9-year-old daughter Tuğçe Omita to his house under the pretext of buying cigarettes, sexually abused her there, and then killed her, wrapping her body in a blanket and throwing it into the drainage canal.

Tuğçe Omita's mother, Döne Omita, said that she saw on TV that Atilla Cücü, who had been released from prison, committed the same crime again in the same way, and described her experiences, stating that her pain was renewed. Omita said that she had received news that Cücü had died in prison, but it turned out that he had been released and committed another murder. She said, "We are living with killers. We have no personal safety. This man killed my daughter and threw her into the sewer. When I saw him on TV, I went back to the day my daughter died. I had a nervous breakdown. I can't describe the pain I'm going through."

Omita also explained that her other daughter is a cancer patient and bedridden. She said, "My daughter has a tumor in her brain. My husband is also sick, and I am sick too. We are living in agony. Now, seeing my daughter's killer again has shattered us. I want to keep my daughter alive at least. I am waiting for help from the authorities and philanthropists. Let them hear my voice."
