In the Erbaa district of Tokat, İdris A. shot and killed his friend Orhan Kocataş with a gun after drinking alcohol together at night. One hour after the murder, İdris A. was caught with the weapon. In his first statement, he said, "I lost control when he insulted my deceased mother. I regret it."
A brutal incident occurred around 04:00 in Kevser Street, Ziya Gökalp Neighborhood, in the Erbaa district of Tokat. A dispute broke out between Orhan Kocataş (41) and his friend İdris A. (40), with whom he was drinking at home.
HE MURDERED HIS FRIEND AFTER DRINKING ALCOHOL
After the argument, İdris A. left the house but returned after a while. The argument resumed in front of the house and turned into a fight. During this time, İdris A. pulled out his gun and fired 4 shots, hitting Orhan Kocataş in the head and various parts of his body. Upon notification, health and police teams were dispatched to the scene. Orhan Kocataş could not be saved despite all interventions at Erbaa State Hospital.
"I COULDN'T CONTROL MYSELF WHEN HE CURSED MY DEAD MOTHER"
İdris A., who fled the scene and was reported to be wanted for theft, was caught with the weapon after a 1-hour operation by the police. After his procedures at the police station, İdris A. was referred to the courthouse. It was learned that İdris A. stated in his police testimony, "I couldn't control myself when he cursed my dead mother. I regret it." Meanwhile, the lifeless body of Orhan Kocataş was sent to Tokat State Hospital for autopsy.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
