The statement of Sadettin Saran, the president of Fenerbahçe, who was summoned for questioning as part of a drug investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office and released after giving a test at the Forensic Medicine Institution, has emerged. Saran stated regarding his correspondence with Ela Rümeysa Cebeci, who was arrested in the same investigation, "We had these conversations. However, I did it inspired by a scene from a movie. I wrote the lines from that movie scene to her."
The President of Fenerbahçe Sports Club, Sadettin Saran, who is facing charges of 'supplying narcotic substances' and 'facilitating the use of narcotic substances' in the drug investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, gave a statement.

Saran was released under judicial control after hair and blood samples were taken at the Forensic Medicine Institution.
PROSECUTOR'S STATEMENT REVEALED
Meanwhile, Saran's statement to the prosecutor has emerged. Sinan Burhan, the General Editor of Millet News Agency, said the following about Saran's statement during a live broadcast on TV100:
"There were significant allegations regarding Sadettin Saran. Mr. Saran said yesterday that he would come to Turkey as soon as possible regarding these allegations. He arrived at 1 PM. At this point, we certainly appreciate it. He did not flee. He could have chosen not to come. He said, 'I have no account to give, I am coming.'
The presumption of innocence is fundamental. We do not accuse anyone in advance. Fenerbahçe is our pride. We must evaluate the responses given to the allegations. Sadettin Saran is being asked, in summary: Did you use drugs with Ela Rümeysa Cebeci? Did you supply her with drugs and a place?
THIS IS HOW HE DEFENDED HIMSELF
'The message is true. But I don't remember when I spoke,' he says. The last messages were also on 31.05.2025. They are messaging about this issue. When these operations occurred, I sent a get well message to 'Ela Rümeysa Cebeci.' I hope these allegations are not true,' he says.
They ask Sadettin Saran about the allegations related to messaging regarding production and cultivation: 'We had these conversations. However, I did it inspired by a movie scene. I wrote the lines from that movie scene to her. I drank the wine that came from Croatia. Ela used an electronic cigarette or drugs,' he says. Following this, he states, 'This is a metaphor and a joke.'

Let me emphasize this point: In both the investigations conducted in Assos and at his home, some elements related to drugs were found. However, Sadettin Saran says: 'I was very stressed when I was a candidate for the presidency of Fenerbahçe. I was subjected to unjust criticisms and slanders. As a result, some of my friends brought me organic herbs. I consumed these. It could be related to that.'
It is said that elements related to drugs were seized and identified in Assos. Regarding this, Saran states: 'Twenty days ago, the Fenerbahçe Women's Basketball Team was at my house in Assos. A barbecue was held here. Flies were coming. To prevent the flies, lavender, sage, and coffee were burned.'

Sadettin Saran says, 'Some substances may also be my daughter's medications. I do not know. On August 21, we had an event with 400 participants in Assos. My daughter got married. Many guests came to this wedding. If there were consumers among these guests, there may be remnants left by them. We need to wait for the results of the criminal investigation,' and he requests to be released under judicial control."
