The fact that Pınar Erbaş, the ex-wife of Mehmet Akif Ersoy, who was arrested as part of a "drug" investigation, did not present the Show TV Main News last night has brought up claims that the TMSF management removed Erbaş from the broadcast. Following these claims, Pınar Erbaş made a statement saying, "In the first days, I thought I could endure and continue my life without disrupting my work. However, I have run out of strength."
Journalist Mehmet Akif Ersoy was arrested last week as part of a drug investigation and was subsequently sent to prison. Following his arrest, Ersoy was also removed from his position as Editor-in-Chief at Habertürk, which is managed by the Savings Deposit Insurance Fund (TMSF).
A significant development also occurred regarding Ersoy's ex-wife Pınar Erbaş, who presents the main news bulletin on Show TV, which is also managed by TMSF.
Hande Bayraktar presented the Show Main News instead of Erbaş. This change raised allegations that TMSF management had pulled Pınar Erbaş off the screen.
"I AM GOING THROUGH A DIFFICULT PROCESS"
Pınar Erbaş made the following statement on her social media account regarding the issue:
"I am going through a process that is too difficult to describe with words. I am facing the reality that a period of my life has been spent in lies, deception, and fabrication. For days, I have been presenting news that is shocking and indescribably heavy for me. In the first days, I thought I could endure and continue my life without disrupting my work. However, my strength is exhausted. I no longer have the energy to present even a single news item related to the issue. Therefore, I requested permission to stay away from the screen for a while. I thank my managers for understanding this request and approaching my situation with sensitivity."
