In the Haliliye district of Şanlıurfa, 21-year-old Hüseyin Demircan shot and killed his mother and older sister, with whom he had argued over money, using a shotgun. Demircan, who was caught at the address where he was hiding and, after police procedures, was taken to the courthouse wearing a bulletproof vest, and his friend were arrested by the court they were brought before.
Hüseyin Demircan (21), who shot and killed his mother Huriye Çiçekli (43), who responded negatively to his request for money, and his sister Zeynep Demircan (23) with a shotgun during an argument in Şanlıurfa, has been arrested.
The incident occurred in a single-storey house in the rural Konuklu Neighborhood of Haliliye district. Hüseyin Demircan, the son of the family who were stated to be agricultural workers, asked his mother Huriye Çiçekli, who was living with his father in a religious marriage, for money. When Huriye Çiçekli, who stated that her husband Ahmet Demircan was receiving treatment at the hospital and that they might need money, gave a negative response, an argument broke out. Hüseyin D., who was learned to have a previous criminal record and an arrest warrant against him, opened fire on his family with the shotgun in the house during the argument.
MELİKE'S TREATMENT CONTINUES
While mother Huriye Çiçekli and her daughters Melikenur and Zeynep Demircan, who were hit by the pellets, collapsed to the ground, the suspect left the shotgun at the scene and fled. Teams were dispatched to the house upon the notice. In the check carried out by medical teams, it was determined that Zeynep Demircan had lost her life. Huriye Çiçekli, who was taken to the hospital, could not be saved either. It was reported that the treatment of 11-year-old Melikenur Demircan, who was injured in her foot, continues at the hospital.
HE WAS ARRESTED TOGETHER WITH HIS FRIEND
Police teams, who launched work regarding the incident, caught Hüseyin Demircan in an operation at the address where he was hiding. His friend A.Ç., who was determined to have helped the suspect hide, was also taken into custody. After procedures at the police station, Hüseyin Demircan, who was brought to the courthouse under heavy security measures and made to wear a bulletproof vest, and his friend were arrested by the court they were brought before.
MOTHER AND DAUGHTER WERE BURIED
On the other hand, the funerals of mother of six Huriye Çiçekli and her daughter Zeynep Demircan were buried after the autopsy performed at the Forensic Medicine Institute.
