A land dispute between step-brothers in the Birecik district of Şanlıurfa ended in a double murder. The suspect, who shot and killed his step-brothers during the argument and then fled the scene, was caught while on the Gaziantep road by the gendarmerie and taken into custody.

HE PULLED THE TRIGGER ONE AFTER ANOTHER
The incident occurred in the evening hours in the Cibinören neighborhood of the district. According to the claim, an argument broke out between Ahmet Kılıç and his half-brothers Hamza and Sabri Kılıç due to a land dispute. During the argument, Ahmet Kılıç opened fire on his half-brothers with a pistol. The brothers Hamza and Sabri Kılıç, hit by the bullets, were seriously injured. Upon the report of those nearby, health and gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the scene. The Kılıç brothers, taken to Birecik State Hospital by ambulance, could not be saved despite the doctors' intervention.
CAUGHT ON THE WAY TO GAZIANTEP
The lifeless bodies of the two brothers were taken to the hospital morgue for autopsy procedures. Ahmet Kılıç, who fled after the incident, was caught and taken into custody on the Şanlıurfa–Gaziantep Highway as a result of the work of JASAT teams. The investigation into the incident continues.
