The incident occurred yesterday in the village of Meseli, affiliated with the city center. According to the claim; M.K., who was keeping watch at night in case a wolf entered the sheepfold, sensed movement in the darkness upon hearing sounds coming from the sheepfold area. M.K., who fired his shotgun towards the direction of the sound, reported the situation to the teams when he saw that the person shot was his wife, Hasret K. (51), a mother of three. Upon the notification, it was determined by health teams arriving at the scene that the unfortunate woman had lost her life.
INVESTIGATION CONTINUES
Following the incident, an investigation was initiated ex officio by the Elazig Chief Public Prosecutor's Office. The husband, M.K., who was taken into custody by gendarmerie teams, was referred to the courthouse after the completion of his statement and procedures at the police station. The suspect, M.K., who was brought before the court, was released under judicial control. The comprehensive judicial investigation launched regarding the incident is ongoing.
