A person allegedly suffering from psychological issues set fire to the house where he lived with his father. The fire occurred in the TOKİ housing complex in the Teyyaredüzü neighborhood in the morning hours. During the fire, the elderly father and some residents of the building had difficulty escaping to safety due to the thick smoke. BUILDING RESIDENTS WERE TRAPPED
It was learned that the elderly father of the woman was in the house during the fire, and he could not be evacuated to a safe area in the initial moments of the incident. As the flames spread rapidly, the building was engulfed in smoke, and it was reported that some residents of the building had difficulty exiting their apartments due to the dense smoke.
THOSE AFFECTED BY SMOKE WERE TAKEN TO HOSPITAL
Upon notification, the Giresun Municipality fire brigade teams were dispatched to the area, intervened in the fire, and it was learned that those trapped inside were rescued and taken to the hospital after the interventions made at the scene.
