An 8-year-old boy named Tarık Ediz Özkanlı, who started experiencing arm pain in the Akyazı district of Sakarya and whose condition progressively worsened, was hospitalized under suspicion of meningitis. Despite all medical interventions, Özkanlı was transferred to the intensive care unit and unfortunately passed away. The governor's office contacted the parents to conduct precautionary examinations for Özkanlı's classmates and bus mates.

An 8-year-old boy named Tarık Ediz Özkanlı, who is studying at an elementary school in the Akyazı district of Sakarya, complained of arm pain at school last Monday, after which his family was informed and he was taken to the hospital.

HE PASSED AWAY

In the initial evaluations at the hospital, the student was treated under suspicion of meningitis. As Tarık Ediz Özkanlı's condition worsened, he was transferred to the intensive care unit in the morning hours. Despite all medical interventions, Özkanlı lost his life.

CLASSMATES AND BUS FRIENDS WILL UNDERGO TESTS

Under the coordination of the Sakarya Governorship, the Provincial Health Directorate contacted the parents of students who study in the same class and use the same bus as the deceased student to conduct tests in the emergency room as a precaution and to initiate preventive treatments.

Tarık Ediz Özkanlı was buried in the Akyazı Alaağaç Neighborhood Cemetery after the funeral prayer performed following the afternoon prayer.
