Fenerbahçe President Sadettin Saran made a statement following the positive result of a drug test. Saran said, "I have never used the substance that is claimed to have tested positive according to the Forensic Medicine Institute. Not only have I not used it, but I have never even seen the substance up close. A formal request will be made for the test to be redone at the Forensic Medicine Institute."

Fenerbahçe Sports Club President Sadettin Saran made a written statement to the public following the allegations regarding the drug test. Saran firmly denied the allegations, stating that he has never used the substance that tested positive throughout his life.

Here is Saran's statement;

"I HAVE NEVER USED IT IN MY LIFE"

In relation to the news that emerged in the public this morning, it has become necessary to inform the public. First and foremost, I want to express clearly and unequivocally that I have never used the substance that is claimed to have tested positive by the Forensic Medicine Institution throughout my life. Let alone using it, I have never even seen the substance up close.

The allegations in this regard constitute an open smear campaign aimed at targeting me and damaging my personal rights and reputation, while also aiming to undermine the institutions I represent. In this process, I would like to clearly express that I am ready to provide any samples again immediately and without any hesitation.

"THE TEST SHOULD BE REPEATED"

In this context; a formal request will be made to the prosecutorial office conducting the investigation for the said test to be repeated at the Forensic Medicine Institution. Additionally, all relevant tests will be conducted as quickly as possible at independent testing organizations with international accreditation, and the results will be made public. I want to emphasize once again, especially, that I have no reservations about the truth being revealed through scientific methods, in accordance with universal standards. Furthermore, the fact that information allegedly belonging to a file under a confidentiality order has been published simultaneously and in a coordinated manner in certain media outlets from the early hours of the morning when the test result is claimed to have emerged is a serious situation that should be carefully evaluated. I firmly believe that the truth will come to light sooner or later; that the process will conclude fairly and transparently within the framework of the principles of a rule of law.
