Following the announcement by Minister of Treasury and Finance Mehmet Şimşek that some fees would be increased below the revaluation rate of 25.49%, the increase rate for valuable paper fees such as passports, driver's licenses, and identity cards has been set at 19.01%. The new fees, which will be applicable for the year 2026, have been clarified with the communiqué published in the Official Gazette.
After the announcement by the Minister of Treasury and Finance Mehmet Şimşek that the increases in certain fees would be kept below the revaluation rate set at 25.49%, the rate of increase to be applied to passports, driver's licenses, and other valuable paper fees has been clarified.
INCREASED BY 19.01%
According to the communiqué published in the Official Gazette, the fees for documents classified as valuable papers, such as passports, driver's licenses, family registers, and notary papers, have been increased by 19.01% for the year 2026. Thus, the increase in these items remained significantly below the revaluation rate.
RESIDENCE PERMIT PAPER RAISED TO 964 TL
The fee for notary papers and declarations has been set at 149 TL, while the fee for protest, power of attorney, and ex officio promissory notes has been determined as 298 TL. The residence permit paper has been raised to 964 TL.
FAMILY REGISTER FEE 1202 TL
For identity cards, the fee for cards issued due to birth outside the legal notification period and for cards issued due to replacement has been set at 220 TL, while the fee for cards issued due to loss has been set at 440 TL. The family register fee has been announced as 1202 TL.
PASSPORT PAPER FEE 1351 TL
The fee for driver's licenses and driver work permits has been set at 1690 TL, while the passport paper fee has increased to 1351 TL. The motor vehicle registration fee has been set at 1511 TL, and the construction machinery registration fee at 1261 TL.
The fee for each page of bank checks has been set at 95 TL. The fee for the work permit exemption document and the foreign work permit document has been set at 964 TL.
