A lawsuit has been filed against 49-year-old M.D. in Aksaray, seeking up to 36 years in prison for sexually abusing his childhood friend's 16-year-old daughter by taking her to an apartment under the pretense of 'I bought you a gift.' Despite the suspect's DNA being conclusively found on the victim's clothing in a criminal investigation, his release pending trial without detention caused outrage.

In Aksaray, chilling details emerged in the investigation into the sexual assault of 16-year-old T.A.Y. The forensic laboratory examination revealed that DNA samples from the victim's clothing matched the suspect. Moreover, it was determined that the suspect was the childhood friend of the victim's father. Despite the conclusive evidence in the file and a demand for up to 36 years in prison, the suspect's release pending trial without detention sparked public outrage.

BY SAYING "I BOUGHT YOU SWEATS"...

In the incident that occurred last August, 49-year-old M.D. allegedly tricked his childhood friend's 16-year-old daughter T.A.Y. by saying, "I bought you sweats, come and see," took her to an apartment, and sexually abused her. After the incident, the investigation was launched, and the victim's preserved clothing was sent for forensic analysis.

Forensic analysis of the victim's clothing matched DNA with the suspect

DNA SAMPLES MATCHED DEFINITIVELY

According to a report in Sözcü, the analysis report from the forensic laboratory became the most concrete and important technical evidence in the file. The report determined that the biological findings obtained from the clothes that 16-year-old T.A.Y. hid on the day of the incident were definitively consistent with the DNA profile of suspect M.D.

36 YEARS IN PRISON DEMANDED FOR 4 SEPARATE CRIMES

After the investigation completed by the Aksaray Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, an indictment was prepared against suspect M.D. In the indictment, it was demanded that the defendant face up to 36 years in prison for the crimes of:

  • Aggravated sexual abuse of a child,
  • Deprivation of liberty,
  • Sexual harassment, and
  • Threats

However, despite such a severe penalty demand and the DNA report, the suspect being tried without detention caused outrage among the victim's family and legal circles. The family and their lawyers objected, demanding the immediate arrest of the suspect.

SAME DNA ALSO APPEARED IN ANOTHER THEFT CASE

As the investigation deepened, another scandal regarding suspect M.D. came to light. It was determined that the DNA profile obtained from the sexual assault case also matched biological traces from an unresolved theft incident in 2023 in Meram district of Konya.
