Seventy-eight-year-old Mehmet Yılmaz, who was discharged after heart surgery in Batman, lost his life when his car collided with a grader while he was on his way to Siirt.
After undergoing heart surgery in Batman, Mehmet Yılmaz (78), who was discharged and set out to go to Siirt with his relatives, was involved in a collision with a grader. Yılmaz, who was severely injured, was taken to the hospital but lost his life.
The accident occurred in the evening hours on the Siirt-Kurtalan highway. The car with the license plate 35 COE 204, whose driver's name is unknown, collided with a grader that was performing snow removal work.
1 PERSON LOST THEIR LIFE, 4 PEOPLE WERE INJURED
As a result of the collision, Mehmet Yılmaz and 4 others in the car were injured. Upon notification, gendarmerie and medical teams were dispatched to the accident site. The injured were taken to Siirt Training and Research Hospital after the first intervention. Despite all the interventions at the hospital, Mehmet Yılmaz lost his life. The treatment of the other 4 injured individuals is ongoing.
HE UNDERWENT HEART SURGERY A WEEK AGO
While an investigation into the accident has been initiated, it was learned that Mehmet Yılmaz had undergone heart surgery in Batman about a week ago and that he set out to return to his hometown Siirt with his family after being discharged today.
