In Istanbul's Avcılar district, a woman who frequently visited a barber for various hair treatments drove barber Ahmet Bilen to his wit's end. After each session, she would say, "I'll be back in 2 hours for dyeing," and leave the shop without paying. Stating that they suffered financial loss, barber Ahmet Bilen said, "It's unfortunate that she puts herself in this situation. I ask the people of Avcılar and other barbers: if possible, don't even let this woman into your shop."
Ahmet Bilen, who has been running a women's hairdresser shop in Merkez District of Istanbul's Avcılar district for 4 years, stated that they are having trouble due to a customer. Bilen, who said the customer repeatedly came to the salon with the same excuses, got her hair blow-dried and styled, and then left without paying, expressed that what they experienced was labor theft.
"DON'T LET THIS WOMAN INTO THE SHOP"
Bilen said, "There is a female customer. We have been experiencing the same thing with this woman for ten times. She comes, we fix the front of her hair. She gets her hair braided and leaves without paying. This is nothing but labor theft. I am completely against labor theft. If you say 'come, do it for free,' I would do it for free, but this much theft is not acceptable. You say 'I will come for dyeing in 2 hours,' then you leave; it's better if she never comes. It's bad that she puts herself in this situation. I warn her. Maybe the woman feels ashamed of herself. My request from the people of Avcılar and hairdressers is, if possible, don't even let this woman into the shop." he said.
"I CAN'T TOLERATE SUCH DISRESPECT"
Stating that the female customer waits for times when he is not at the salon, Bilen said, "You come when I'm not here. You say 'I will come for dyeing in 1 hour' and escape. When I am here, you ask about expensive procedures. You escape and leave. Madam, don't come to this shop again. This is my only option. Go to whoever you want. Don't come to my shop again. I can't tolerate such disrespect." he said.
"SHE SAID 'I WILL COME FOR DYEING IN 2 HOURS'"
Apprentice Mehmet Alıcıkuş said, "Ahmet brother was not in the shop. I finished the dyeing, then a woman came. She said 'Can you blow-dry and fix my hair?' I could have taken money normally. She came, got a blow-dry, then got the sides done. She acted like she didn't like it, then had the back of her hair tied up. She took the bag and said 'I will come for dyeing in 2 hours.' I was confused. I thought she was an acquaintance of Ahmet brother, so I didn't take money. I was going to say 'Lady, the money' but she turned around and left before I could even say that." he said.
